LETTER OF APPRECIATION

Thank you! Martina Beszédesová, Scott Piusz, Ken Zheng, Jones Zhang and Victor Yu of Crown Relocations Shanghai, Sue Bishop (project founder), Parkway Health clinics, JZ School, Staples, Polymax Shanghai Trading Co., Ltd., Squire Sanders and Dempsey L.L.P., City of London Shanghai Rep. Office, A PLEINES MAINS, Wilhelmsen Ships Service, KPMG, Environmental Resources Management, RAJAH & TANN LLP Shanghai Representative Office, German Center, SHERPA'S, KEE Club, Fried Frank, James Estate Wines, Just Beer, The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, The British Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, Shanghai Mamas, Bumps & Babes, Anheuser-Busch Inbev China, Consulate General of Switzerland, and individual donors for contributing 9,448 clothing items and educational toys that are currently benefiting 4,431 Tibetan residents in Mangra and Zeku counties, Hainan and Huangnan Tibetan autonomous prefectures, Qinghai Province, PR China.

Prior to distribution, the poorest families in local communities were chosen by community leaders and volunteers associated with this project, and a list of recipients was made. Clothes and toys were then distributed according to the list. Recipients left their fingerprints to document their receipt of donated items.

On average, an annual income for a family is 363RMB – 4,000RMB per person. Many locals can only afford cheap, poor quality clothes that soon wear-out. Many families have more than six people and parents are responsible for purchasing clothes. This gives much pressure to the parents when it comes to buying clothes for four to five people.

The areas where the clothing was distributed are at high altitude and have five months of cold winter when the average temperature is around minus fifteen degrees consequently, the clothing is very useful. Furthermore, many community kindergartens lack funds to purchase such class necessities as books, sports items, and desks for children.

This project brought warm clothes and education supplies to these marginalized Tibetan communities.

Finally, we extend our sincere appreciation for providing this wonderful gift!

Sincerely,

Nangchukja / Robert
